This is a shot from the front of the apartment looking out west from our place. The tall building you see is a mosque. The arched domes on top are called "cuppolas" and they are one of the rare throwbacks to their much older architectural designs. You dont see these on regular new buildings much now, but they're very prevalent on the churches, and synagogues throughout all of Africa.
