Africa: Day 0 (The London Experience)

Well, it’s now 1:30 AM your time on the east coat, but it’s 6:35 AM my time in London. I’ve just disembarked from British Airways flight 212 in London Heathrow Airport and have sat down in the first comfortable chair that I’ve seen in four thousand miles. Tim and I eagerly await our last breakfast containing pork at this moment. I was pleasantly surprised to find this airport fully stocked with everything an overt American needs to survive; cigarettes, alcohol, scrambled eggs, internet access, and beautiful European women. The flight over was not without incident however. Shortly after arriving, Tom found out that his wallet with all his per-diem was either lost on the plane or filched from his pocket in line while waiting for the terminal shuttle. I will continue later, but must break for food… brb. (Day 0 Continued) Ok… much better. It’s 7:25 AM here in London now, and we have all enjoyed a wonderful round of scrambled eggs and “rashers” of bacon. Apparently, a “piece” of bacon doesn’t sounds as expensive as a “rasher” of bacon, but it was good nonetheless. On another note, Tom Hadry found his wallet. He talked to the people at the airline and they searched the plane for him and luckily found it under his seat. So, thankfully, I don’t have to call my CEO and tell him that we lost the per-diem for one of our guys. (Ok.. it's now much later, so I'm going to stop this narrative here and publish as is. More details later to follow.)
