Bill Stovall - Elvis Show! I wanted to test this new "event" feature in the Windows Live Writer (Beta) program. I downloaded the plugin which ties directly into to API at eventful.com and allows you to enter event information. ... |

Something I REALLY do like is this: If Iwant to write a "how-to" guide, or show you something from my screen, I can use the print screen function. Basically you press ALT+PRT SC on your keyboard and then you right-click in the blog program and press paste. It pulls the graphic from memory and pastes it right into the blog... very nicefunctionality that I haven't seen in any of the other editors I've tried (And I've used them all.. RocketPost, Crysanth WebStory, Ecto2, Hello, etc.)
Ok. Enough for now.
Ok.. the event plugin vote is in. I give it a strong thumbs down. All that plugin does is take the information I'm typing, and format it for me. Well, I have to type all the information ANYWAY, so it's only saving me the trouble of typing "Name:" , "Date:", etc... lame. Further, you can't see the event text. Now, if you highlight that blank spot in the middle of the post, THEN you can see the text, but the formatting is not inline with the template.
ReplyDeleteOverall Rating for Plugin: 1 out of 10.
I still love the program though.. that particular plugin for it just sucks.
