The 303 British round is .30 caliber and most of the military loadings use a .311-.312 diameter bullet. The factory was moved to Kawnpore in the late 40's. Recently , we visited the area, and the site and residential cantonment are still present. Enjoy the rifle, I've fired many, in the past, as a student in the UK.
